The sport of weightlifting is a barbell sport that includes the two lifts of the snatch and clean and jerk. These movements are combined with other types of barbell training like bench press, squat, deadlift, and other accessory training to increase strength. In addition, strength training allows you to build your range of motion, increase your abilities in other types of activities, and improve your overall health.
