MEET THE TRAINER: KENDRA MCBROOM
Hi, I’m Kendra!
I graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in exercise science and am a certified personal trainer through ACSM. My personal and professional interests often intersect and have allowed me to be introduced to a broad set of experiences. I played lacrosse in college, which introduced me to a weight room where I immediately fell in love. My degree allowed me to enjoy studying what I was doing in the weight room and, in turn, seeing and feeling the impacts and benefits it had on my performance on the field.
I strive to be a lifelong learner and love sharing what I know with others. This is especially true in the context of working in fitness and health-related settings. Not only do I want to coach individuals through a good workout, but I enjoy sharing the why behind each exercise. I want everyone to feel comfortable in what they are doing and confident they are doing it with a purpose. I pull from my different experiences to plan programs that are adapted to each individual, regardless of one-on-one or group settings. I love working with everyone, no matter what stage of their fitness journey they are in. I pull from my experiences and stay on top of current education to make sure everyone feels safe, included, and successful.
In My Free Time
In my personal life, I have enjoyed playing sports, Olympic lifting, and doing CrossFit. Professionally, I have personal trained and taught group fitness in various gyms, coached ninja warrior (parkour) classes, and even dabbled in teaching youth rock climbing. Currently, I am also coaching girls high school lacrosse.
