A HOLIDAY BREAKFAST RECIPE: Dutch Pancakes
These are delicious custardy pancakes. A fave on weekends.
Ingredients
½ cup flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
¼ teaspoon of salt
½ cup of whole milk
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Prep
Heat your oven to 425 F
Place a cast iron skillet or other oven safe pan inside to get it hot. Place the skillet inside as it preheats
Mix your ingredients together in a blender on high for 20 seconds
Let it rest until your oven hits 425 F
Take out the hot pan (Careful!) with oven mitt and add two tablespoons butter. Swirl until melted
Hit the batter mixture with the blender again for a few seconds
Pour your batter into the pan or skillet
Place back in the oven for 20 minutes
The pancake will puff up on the sides. It may come out uneven. No worries!
Add powdered sugar, fruit, or a compote
Cut and add a bit of syrup if you like
Enjoy!
